Are You A Funeral Director?

Over his 18 years of ministering in the Anglican Church, Brian has had many opportunities to lead Funeral Services and offer Pastoral Care to the bereaved.  This experience has been augmented by Brian's more recent and ongoing familiarity with Jewish practices, such as the saying of Kaddish and other customs.  He has increasingly been called on to lead services for families of "mixed faith" or "no church connection" background.

He has also had the privilege of working with a number of funeral directors, (see below) in a variety of settings and situations, from long awaited deaths to sudden tragedies, from infant death to senior's 'passing'.   Brian has ministered to families in all socio-economic levels, ensuring dignity and compassionate care equally for all.

We at BRT are fully aware that today, there are many families who require the services of a funeral chapel, but because they have no "church relationship", they may not have a leader who can tailor the service, within acceptable parameters, to the needs of the family and at the same time, maintain the decorum of a sensitive, comforting atmosphere.  We know the difficulties this can create for you in providing complete care to the bereaved.

Brian is available to lead caring and professional services in such cases as these.

Brian's experience includes the pre-service interview, family pastoral care and prayer ministry, preparation and leading of the service, working with a musician as required, and post-service follow-up when needed.  While generally familiar with the liturgy from the Anglican Book of Alternative Services, Brian has found that this can be altered to meet the needs of families and loved ones from any (or no) denominational background.

If you believe that BRT Ministries can help you in such a situation as these noted here, please go to the "Contact Us" page and call for more information.  I look forward to working with you.
