"The People, the Land and the Future of Israel" Conference
Toronto October 2,3
Many photos above are my own. Others are the product of the CPM photographer hired to keep a photo record of the conference. These photos are acknowledged as a "CPM Photo" within the caption. They are included through the generous permission of CPM authorities. I am grateful for their permission to include them so that you can get a full idea of how the conference went. (Holding your cursor over a picture will cause the caption to 'spring up' or you can click on the first [or any] photo to enlarge it and see the caption at the same time.)
To see more photos and get more information, you are invited to go to: http://www.torontoisraelconference2015.ca . You may also be able to order a DVD set or CD's of the conference itself. God's Blessing.

Chanukah 2011 - Loads of Fun for 'Family' & Friends
Chanukah is not an official 'member' of the family of Moedim which we are commanded to keep by the Lord in His Torah. The celebration is based on the joy of the Jewish people who, under the leadership of the Maccabbee family, rested control of the Temple in Yerushalayim from the Greek tyrant Antiochus Epiphanes (IV) (King of Syria and 8th in the line of Seleucus, a former general in Alexander's invading armiy) about a century and a half before the time of Messiah Y'shua's [first] coming.
Upon taking control on Kizlev 25, they found they did not have enough oil for the Temple menorah, but by God's grace, the oil lasted eight days - hence eight lights on the Chanukiah, plus the Shammash or "Servant light", used to ignite the other candles / oil pots. The eight days mark the re-dedication of the temple to holy use once again.

Clergy Retreat - Networking opportunities
On October 17-18, I joined a number of the Anglican clergy from the York-Simcoe area (in the Diocese of Toronto) for the annual conference at Tally Ho Inn near Huntsville. Together we were challenged to re-imagine our "church" concepts, and we had a number of great discussions. I had the opportunity to meet with old friends in ministry and to make new acquaintances - as well as to spread the word about the ministry and what we offer to those in church settings.

Sukkot Construction and Services for 2011
I thought this year I would display some photos showing the work that goes into the building of the Sukkah. What I didn't know was that this year we would be making some changes to the design - changes which improved the overall appearance of the Sukkah, but (because it was the 'first time') made a little extra work for us. Enjoy!

August At All Saints - "Lots to Learn About-Lots of Fun"
All Saints Church in King City, (Keele St just south of King Road), is a terrific community of wonderful, and faithful people. After 5 weeks with them recently, I feel very close to them all. The incumbent is the Rev'd Nicola Skinner. She has done a great job of instilling in the congregation a desire to learn more about our faith and encouraged the congregation to take their faith journey in earnest as they seek God together and learn more about themselves in the process. Read more about it on the News Updates page.

BRT Board Members Gather in South Barrie / Innisfil
On Wednesday August 10th, 2011 - members of the BRT Board journied to St. Paul's Church, Innisfil (where in 2010 we had presented a Pesach Demonstration) to share in some fellowship and "catching up" on the news about the ministry. See more details on the News Updates page.

Shavuot Service With Chavarah - June 8th 2011
Only some of the Chavarah members were able to gather to celebrate Shavuot / Pentecost, but we had a great time anyway. Sorry we don't have pictures from the service and the Bible Study (I can't do everything) but below are some good shots of interest anyway. (For more detail - see the News Updates page).

Warm and Wonderful Pesach Seder at Wasaga Beach
On April 21, 2011 (Maundy Thursday) Brian travelled back to Prince of Peace (where he had led a number of services last summer while the clergy was on vacation - see older photos below) to direct a Pesach Seder Demonstration. He was accompanied by Joan and also Jonathan, a second year student from Wycliffe College. It was a great evening, and we were all made to feel welcome. See News Update page for more detail....

Emmanuel's Dim Sum Lunch
Members of Emmanuel Richvale gather for the monthly "DimSum" Lunch at a local Restaurant. This was my first opportunity to join them. Luckily, Mona and Angela gave me direction as to what I could eat and still be Kosher. Some of our BRT sojourner's sat at table with me.
