What a few people have said about (or to) us
over the years:

The following comments are lifted from a farewell speech made by a parishioner given on the occasion of my departure from Emmanuel Church in Richmond Hill, in order to move to Minden.
(As Honourary Associate at Emmanuel from 2008 until 2013, I often led services and spoke on topics from a Jewish Roots perspective.  As well as the usual Middle English, Greek and Latin terminology to which we are so accustomed {as found in our prayer books}, I often interjected some Hebrew words and phrases into the teaching, the prayers and of course, I always ended with the Aharonic Benediction.  Henry also alludes to a vocabulary sheet which I now hand out as a gift wherever I speak.  He begins with just a few headline points but I don't have all the extra comments that went with them.
As a teacher, in particular of God's Word and Jewish Roots, I was deeply moved by Henry's presentation and by the support of the people of Emmanuel Church, Richvale.)

Brian,
- Your contribution to our worship service has been refreshing and informative.
- Your approach to our Christian heritage has inspired us to see [things] from a different perspective.
-  Your teachings have opened our eyes and our minds to the full spectrum of Christianity's Messianic Roots and have helped us understand the laws and traditions upon which our church is based.
- You have helped us see how God sent Y'shua to us to refocus us on the true meaning of His Word.

(Henry then added)
Speaking Personally:
I cannot say that your teachings were always easy to understand.  I have referred to my little yellow [vocabulary] sheet many times to translate your terms to my own vocabulary.  However, having done so, I have been well rewarded.  My Bible and concordance have been given a thorough workout.  I do enjoy a challenge, and Brian - you never disappointed me.  The knowledge you have given me is a treasure I will carry the rest of my life.  The harder one works for something, the more satisfying the achievement.
We know that God has called you to spread His Word to others.  We are grateful to Him for sharing you with us.  We know that He is guiding you to do His will.  We will pray for you and Joan and the success of your ministry.  Please take our love with you wherever God takes you."

Henry and Kaili, (the youth leader and member of the Worship team) then offered a well known Hebrew Chorus, with this introduction:
"Now it's payback time - you taught us a lot of Hebrew terms.  Now it's time to return the Hebrew to you.  For those of you who may not be fluent in Hebrew, the meaning of Shalom [includes]: Hello, Goodbye and Peace.  This little song can be translated as 'Goodbye dear friend.  Peace be with you, until we meet again, Peace.'"
They then sang a very moving rendition of "Shalom Chavarim"
"Shalom, Chaverim, Shalom Chaverim,
Shalom, Shalom.
Lehitraot, Lehitraot,
Shalom, Shalom."

From a Sojourner who receives the Newsletter by regular mail:

Dear Brian,
I wish I could adequately express my appreciation for our contacts.  I have shared my newsletters with so many... I was happy to just be able to pass them on.  Three people requested them.
Both of you are in my prayers - always.
You have set such an example for us.
Helen.

From a Church pastor following a Seder Demonstration:

Dear Brian,
Thank you for your leading us through the Seder last week.  Your evident passion for the topic and the many elements... made the evening full and meaningful.  I know the peole really appreciated it and enjoyed the evening.
Peter.

From a Sojourner in Central Ontario:

Dear Brian and Joan,
Thank you for putting me on your mailing list to receive your informative newsletters.   I am so envious of those who.... attend the Jewish High Holy days [and] gain a greater understanding of the Scriptures.

From a Sojourner in the Yukon Territories:

Dear Brian and Joan,
We are returning to [your area] at the end of August and hope to connect with you.  Enjoyed your newsletter.  It's great to see how God is opening doors....

Peter.

From a Sojourner in Pickering Ajax area:

Dear Brian,
I want to thank you and Joan for sharing as you did.
I  am still moving forward on what He is showing me related to the restoration of the Jew and the Gentile in the L-rd.  I believe what the L-rd has been speaking to me, [namely] that you, and others, are the forerunners, and there is pain in your call because it is moving people from one place in the desert to another.  You can probably empathize with Moshe (Moses).

We get comfortable in what we think, even if the truth is covered over.  Be encouraged, for G-d will open the doors for you to enter in.  I believe that in the oneness - Jew and Gentile in the L-rd - that it points back to G-d and a completed "oneness" in Him.  I have never felt this close to my L-rd before.  I also know this is going to grow even greater than what I'm seeing right now.

Thank you for your obedience to the L-rd in your journey with Him.
May G-d bless you richly.

Carol and I thank the L-rd for both of you, and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.  Blessings to you and Joan in Yeshua.

Bob.

Dear Brian,...

... We will pray for doors and hearts to be opened for you both.  Thank you for daring to follow Your heart!

Fraternally,
Peter.

From a Sojourner in the Niagara Peninsula:

Dear Joan & Brian,
.. I recently joined a home group - one of many at our church.  It is called "Israel - A Chosen People".  All who are involved have a real interest in, and love for Israel.

Last week, I introduced BRT ministries to my home group, and we prayed for 'your assignment' ... the group is fascinated with your story; and honoured to continue praying for you.
