What Does "Beth Roay Tov" mean?

Beth Roay Tov is the transliteration of a Hebrew phrase meaning
"House of the Good Shepherd".
We believe there is a lot in a name. Names in the Bible were given to describe some aspect of a person's birth, or position in the family. In some cases, names were given by parents filled with hope about how the child would grow up and be used by G-d. In many situations, a person's name has influenced the outcome of their lifestyle or their life's work.
In a similar manner, we believe that the name of one's home has an important influence on those who dwell within. "From the time I first entered into ordained ministry," reports our Founding Director, "our home has been named to portray a specific aspect of our family life, or our desire to minister to the people of G-d."
Our first home was called "Beth Shalom" meaning "House of Peace". Today, we call both our home and our ministry: "Beth Roay Tov". We believe this indicates that our focal point is Yeshua (Jesus), who - in the Gospel of John - is proclaimed to be the fulfillment of G-d's plan to send a Good Shepherd to gather His people to Him
John records the words of Yeshua thus: "I AM the Good Shepherd; the Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.... I know My own, and My own know Me, even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep." (John 10:11,14,15 NASB)
John's Gospel not only asserts that Yeshua is the Roay Tov (Good Shepherd), but that He is also the door (or gate) to the sheep fold. This indicates that He is the only means by which humanity can enter into the Kingdom of God.(see John 10:7, 9 NASB)
